update

So I noticed I haven't been on here in a really long time. I just wanted to take a minute and thank everyone who has helped me out in one way or another these last couple months. I greatly appericate it. You've all helped me in many different ways and taught me to be strong and move on. So thank you to everyone.
Thanksgiving was different but fun. We stayed at Donalds house and Natalie, Justin and Brennan came down for 2 days. I had a lot of fun with them and enjoyed them being there.
Tonight was a fun night. Katie (Donalds daughter my age) is starting to come out of her shy shell and we are starting to become friends. Anyways we all went to village inn for dinner then went to temple square to look at the lights and hear donalds nephew david sing.

UPDATE

I haven't updated this thing in forever so here it goes:
I've been living with my mom and Donald since I finished the semester at Dixie. Although I love the no rent thing its about time for me to get back out on my own. I always thought I'd enjoy living the middle of no where- That thought is now non existant after living in Herriman for a whole month! Being a California girl I never thought I'd say I miss living in Ogden SO... I'm moving back there! I found a cheap apartment I can afford while going to Weber State. I just barely got done filling out all the paper work and will know within a week if I get it or not. CROSS YOUR FINGERS! I want it real bad!
I'm currently working at so far my favorite job ever! IKEA! I'm a frontline cashier and love it! I love the pay, health benefits, flexible hours, discounts, and co-workers! Ikea runs the majority of their sales through self check outs except for on Saturdays and Sundays so the only hard part of the job is teaching all the angry old people how to use a scan gun... aim and shoot.. not that hard... But I still love it. I plan on keeping this job after moving to Ogden and just becoming a part time employee working a couple days a week...
This next month is a busy one for me but I'm looking forward to each event!
FRIDAY- The Morris Fam is coming for a BBQ!
SATURDAY- 4th of July in Ogden
JULY 16-19- Jeff's family reunion
JULY 24-1- EAGLE LAKE!
I can't wait for camp so I can see everyone. This year is going to be fun!
See you all soon!

3 weeks going!

As many of you guys already know I got the photo scholarship for The Dixie Sun newspaper on campus. I love it so much. My teacher is really hard to please but every wednesday when we go to press ( have a new issue) she tells us which story and photo were her favorite for the week. I've been on the newspaper for 3 weeks now and all 3 weeks I got photo of the week! I thought it was pretty cool since I'm the newest photographer and the only freshman photographer.
Here are my three photo's that got photo of the week in order..
This was a features story about astrologers. She was really wacked out and smelt like a dirty diaper.

This of course was sports. Men's basketball winning in the last seconds with a dunk.
This is a lifesytles article about girls and guys cleanliness in their living spaces and how dirty ones are a turn off. This apartment is the one below mine and absolutely NASTY! They were so lazy and refused to do the dishes so they were eating out of the pans they cooked in! and yes as you can see on the kitchen table they did eat waffles out of that cookie sheet looking things about 2 weeks ago... its still there today! yuck.
Our online newspaper gets updated every wednesday so keep an eye out for my pictures. This next week I'll be in News for Mr.Dixie and Lifestyles for shopaloics. :)

UPDATE.

Just a little update on my life.
My life has consisted of numerous hours of studying with mid-terms just around the corner. On top of that one of my communication teachers is the newspaper adviser, so whenever she needs help with stories assignments she offers them to students in my class. I've taken on 3. Last weeks was on Diversity Week and made the front page, this coming week was on peoples prospective of christmas and skipping over Thanksgiving, an opinion piece, and next week I will have a story on students favorite holiday treats and traditions. So I've been busy with the newspaper as well as classes.

That same teacher is offering scholarships for next semester for the newspaper staff. So I'm currently putting together a resume and portfolio of my photography hoping for a position as a staff photographer preferably sports photographer. I believe its pretty strong right now with letters of recommendations from both my intership with the standard examiner and my old photo teacher as well as my NCAA basketball pictures I took for the standard. Hopefully I'll get the scholarship.. CROSS YOUR FINGERS!

Being a part of; Polynesian Club, Service Club, The Crew, and the L.D.S.S.A (Latter Day Saint Student Association) I was able to be a part of Dixie State's biggest service project of the year. We went to Tuachan to pick up trash and decorate it with thousands of christmas lights. It was one of the funnest service projects at the coolest place... even though it was freezing.

I also last night went on one of the funnest double dates with Shannon. She got asked by this cutie she's been checking out, Zant, and gave me thirty minutes to find a date so I took my good friend Andy. We went to Vegas and rode the rollercoaster on top of the Stratosphere... so scary! Then went to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory and got to drive a Hummer H3!!
And that's pretty much how my life has been this last week. So enjoy the pictures. Oh ya and i forgot to put up halloween pictures so i included one of those as well. As well as a picture I took from the dorms of the amazing sunset.... and a picture of me voting for mom.

HIGH FIVES FOR SERVICE!

VEGAS... THE VIEW FROM THE VIEWING DOCK.. THEN YOU GO UP TEN MORE FLOORS TO THE ROLLERCOASTER THEN YOU GO UP 12 STORIES TO THE VERY VERY TOP!!!
AND THE ST GEORGE SUNSET...
